Wilson Lake
Wilson Lake, noted as the clearest lake in Kansas, offers over 9,000 water surface acres and over 100 miles of beautiful shoreline making it one of the most scenic and better fishing areas in Kansas. Wilson Lake is the leading recreational resource for many surrounding communities and is recognized for its boating, camping, fishing, hunting, swimming, hiking and bike trails. It is also noted for its premier striped bass and small-mouth bass fishing.
Wilson State Park, located on the south side of the lake is divided into 2 regions: Hell Creek and Otoe. 5 park areas are provided which include both primitive and utility camping sites.  Some cabins with plumbing and electricity are available.

There is a 4 mile mountain biking trail loop that winds its way over the hills surrounding the area. The hills provide good climbs and hair-raising descents.  The trail is rated intermediate level and includes sections.

A more relaxing venture can be had via the
Bur Oak Nature Trail located below the dam at Lake Wilson. A short, 3/4  mile nature trail, walkers and hikers alike will find this an enjoyable opportunity. Information about the surrounding ecosystem us provided along the path.
The park is located 8 miles North on
K-232 from I-70, Wilson exit.
