- Small Business Development Centers - The Kansas Small Business Development Center (KSBDC) partners with higher education and economic development organizations to provide Kansas entrepreneurs with no-cost business consulting and resources for starting, maintaining and growing their businesses.
- Certified Development Companies - The network of CDCs throughout the state provides financial packaging services to small businesses using a variety of private and government sources. Each CDC has an area of operation in which it focuses its efforts on serving the small business community.
- Land/Parcel Inventory - Available property is maintained through a portal known as LOIS. If you are in need of land for a business venture, inventory can be explored through this portal, but Smoky Hill Development Corporation may be aware other inventory or help navigate the channels to obtain the parcels that meet your needs.

- Tenant Based Rental Assistance - Ellsworth County is a participating jurisdiction in the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), which permits flexible programs that provide assistance to individual households to help them afford the housing costs of market-rate units.
